Desert of the vultures

Slow steps upon the hot sands
The camel silently moves across
Dunes of the holy desert endlessly float
Unforgiving are sun rays upon dry skin.
And windless are the skies as the air dances across the horizon.

Two men I saw walking and a third upon a camel.
Heading towards the big castle underground.
Portals inside the oasis
Hiding it is within a mirage.

What is the faith of a slave?
Water is only meant for those riding.
And what is the faith of the rich
Money cannot buy rain.
What is the faith of the wise man walking aside
Though pity him I do deeply
For nature will not spare him for his wisdom
As the sun will not stop shining
For the experience written in his soul.

Praised it is, the great divine.
Just as the desert, it takes whoever enters its shrine.
Gates of gold and diamonds awaiting.
For those who can see without eyes
As an oasis hides the gates of time
For those whose heart is open.

Timelessness rules the fools
Willing to enter the desert of the vultures.
Clean they do as the last breath escapes
The body of them with no respect for life.

Walk they shall day after day, hour after hour.
Convinced they know the path
The road that leads to the truth
That hands you eternal life
On a silver plate with a red ribbon
Tied around the grail that it embodies.

33 days and 33 nights
The path shall be walked
By the man fool.
By the man slave.
By the dead man walking.

When the last dune is crossed
A bridge shall be seen.
One made of stone shiney and blue.
On top the bridge a snake resides.
Faster than a bullet and smarter than a man.

One question it shall ask you
As you need to answer it well.
For if you do not.
Your life it shall take.

Behind the bridge of riddles
An oasis of dreams hides.
With palm trees rising high
Waters of pure blue silently timeless.
And birds singing eternal lullabies
To those who enter the shrine asleep.

Within its waters so sweet
Deep through the tunnels of the mind
A palace of crystal stands tall.
With 7 towers of bluer than the sky.
On each tower a diamond is placed.
To guide the way to where you are.
To not get lost within this labyrinth
Of the mist that is your mind.

Mirror the diamonds are, reflect life they do so well.
As the seven stars shine brightly in the sky
They shall shine brightly under the waters.
As above, as below the story goes
Only they who know the song will open the doors
Not doors of wood, the doors of your soul.
Free is the man whose mind is free
And prisoner is he whose heart is closed.
Sing artist of the great divine.
Sing the melody of the eternal flame.
Whisper it as the key turns within the doors.

Step one step two red carpet is laid
On the floor of the halls behind the door.
Step three , step four no lamps burn
On the roofs of this shrine.
Step five, steps six the spiral turns
As up, as down which way to go
Only your heart knows.
Step seven shall not be named
For asleep do not know the secret
Of the dream within a dream.
